MET Studio is a family-run, full service experience design agency, set up in East London in the early 1980s by its current chairman; Alex McCuaig. From a small studio in Metropolitan Wharf in London Docklands with two drawing boards and no heating–to a global award-winning agency with offices on three continents–MET’s sustained growth is a product of combining strategic vision and insight with cutting-edge creativity to bring to life environments and experiences that truly connect with audiences.

MET Studio is comprised of cultural commentators and narrative creators, brand strategists, project managers, artists, designers, tech innovators and architects. MET strive to be agile, engaged, and great listeners, presenters and are communicators in 12 languages with a goal to help clients deliver on their vision and strategy, and along the way help them to reveal new opportunities.

MET Studio is a company with a global outlook and has been since its very conception. Currently working out of offices in London, Hong Kong and Mexico City, last year saw the opening of MET Singapore and in 2019 MET Dubai.

To date, in over 30 countries MET Studio has created brand experiences and brand HQs, Expo pavilions, sponsorship activations, museums, science centres, art galleries, exhibitions, events, festivals, pop-ups, trade shows, car shows, brand identities, websites, new products, furniture, films, homes, shops, libraries, schools, universities and much more.

However, it is a commitment to a dedicated understanding of each client’s unique nature, objectives and individual stories that allows MET Studio to create tangible results on a varied folio of ground-breaking international projects, whether our clients’ KPI’s are financial, commercial, entertainment-focused, or educational or emotional conversions.

This folio comprises a rich variety and body of work for a vast array of different kinds of clients, all unified by having a unique story to tell. MET Studio’s growing client list includes Nike, Saudi Aramco, EMAAR, Natural History Museum, National Army Museum, Cunard Manchester United, The Venetian Hotel, Hong Kong Telecom, Hong Kong Jockey Club, Peugeot, Philips, IBM, EDF, Live Nation, Imperial War Museum, O2, Honda and many, many more. Many of these projects have amassed an impressive array of awards, including its Chairman, Alex McCuaig, winning the Lifetime Achievement in Design Award from FX Magazine.

Another of the more significant accolades was the Design Week Best in Show Award for the last 25 years. Beating the Apple iPhone and the BBC brand identity, the ‘Wired Worlds’ exhibition in Bradford was judged by the public in an open vote.
